| A journey along the river Thames between Oxford and Hampden Court is a fascinating tour through time, experiencing some of the finest river scenes in the country. Using a narrow boat as accommodation you have the option of walking or cruising, the Thames Path is close to the river and the locks offer the opportunity to get on and off the boat at regular intervals. The sights speak for themselves with places of interest including Abingdon, Windsor, Henley, Marlow, Staines, Runnymede and Hampden Court, mix these with smaller villages and an abundance of wildlife it's not hard to see why the likes of Turner and Constable were inspired. The boat sleeps 10 in modern comfort with flush toilets and a shower, and of course a fridge for keeping the wine cool, there will be no Tv to spoil the tranquility of a relaxed leisurely week, the pace of life on the river can't be beaten. | ||||||||||||
