| Escape from the rat race to the unspoilt beauty of the Isle of Wight for a weeks walking on the Coastal Path. The scenery is as varied as the coastline with picturesque villages, holiday resorts, history and royalty, from the Needles with the rocket testing station, Alum Bay with the multicoloured sands, the P.L.U.T.O pipeline at Shanklin Chine, the Tenyson monument and not forgetting Osborne House the home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. We will be based in Sandown and will be staying close to the coast except for the short section around the Newtown estuary, passing through Ryde, Cowes, Yarmouth on the way, you will see Blackgang Chine, St Catherines Point lighthouse and fabulous cliff tops with far reaching views. On the rest day we will take you wherever you decide to go, Osborne House is well worth a visit but the list is endless from a garlic farm to a steam railway, there is no rushing here just relaxing. | ||||||||||||
