Sat 4th February        B         DE45 1PP 

 A 9 mile walk from Chatsworth through the park to Baslow, on to Wellington's monument, crossing the moors to Birchen Edge & Nelson's monument, returning to the park via Dobb Edge. 

           

  

Sun 5th February        B  SK11 0AR  A 10 mile walk from Derbyshire Bridge to Shining Tor with views of the Cheshire plain, along the ridge to descend to Errwood Hall and the Goyt valley, returning over Big Moor.

 

 
Sat 11th February         B      DE4 2BN  A 9 mile walk from the village of Birchover to the Hermit's Cave & Robin Hood's Stride, into Winster and up onto Stanton Moor circling round via the tower & the Nine Ladies circle on the return to the village.

Sat 18th February        B   DE13 9NA An 8 mile walk from Tutbury to the Fauld Crater, the largest conventional weapons crater in the country where the bomb store deep in the gypsum mines exploded towards the end of WW2, a spectacular sight. 

 

Sat 25th February      B   DE45 1JH A 10 mile walk from the village of Monyash through classic White Peak country to Horseshoe Dale and Deep Dale on to Churn hole and through the villages of Chelmorton and Flagg on our return to the start. 

 

Sun 26th February       B   SK17 0AL A 10 mile walk from Hartington following the river Dove before the climb over Ecton hill into the Manifold valley, follow the old railway to Hulme End and the return via the hamlets of Brund and Sheen. 

 

Sun 4th March        B   SK13 8HT A 8 mile walk over the open moorland of Bleaklow in search of the white Arctic Hares. This is a walk on open rough ground off paths for half the day. The return is along the Pennine Way. 

 

Mon 12th  to Fri 16th March inclusive       B     Various SPRING INTO LIFE WALKING WEEK in conjunction with Visit England  English Tourism Week.  5 day walks all of 10 miles starting with Dovedale, then  Lathkill dale,  Thor's Cave,  Chatsworth House and ending at Cromford.    Call  07710192399 for meeting post code.        All walks start at 10 am  
Sat 17th March           B  DE6 2AY    An 8 mile walk from Dovedale to take in the sights along the river Dove, through the Ilam Hall park to Hall dale to Alstonfield to join Dovedale passing Raynard's Cave, the Tissington Spires, Lovers Leap and the stepping stones. 

 

Sat 24th March        B              DE45 1PP  A 10 mile walk starting from Chatsworth House crossing the park to Calton and the bridleway to Rowsley, through Smeltingmill wood to Beeley, here we climb through woodland to Beeley moor, passing between the Swiss & Emperor lakes to the descent from the Hunting Tower back to the house.

 

Sun 25th March         B         DE4 3RQ   A 10 mile walk from Cromford onto the ridge above the Derwent valley to Crich Stand passing Holloway, the childhood home of Florence Nightingale, for the return we descend to the Cromford canal passing the end of the High Peak former railway line.

 

Sat 31st March         B   DE4 4LS A 9 mile walk from Middleton Top on the High Peak Trail, descending Groaning Tor to Slaley on to Ible to join the Limestone Way to Harboro rocks and the Druid's chair, returning via the old railway.
