| ANOTHER PLACE | A day out on the beaches around Formby and Crosby, the dunes and beach at Formby housing fossils and home to red squirrels, whilst Crosby is now the permanent home of the Antony Gormley cast iron statues, all 100 of them, standing in silence looking out to sea, at high tide most are covered and at low tide are exposed and covered in barnacles. The day involves an early pickup by mini bus, a stop for mid morning tea, a lunch stop at a local inn [ food not included ] entrance to Formby Point and return late evening |  |

| METAL DETECTING | Your chance to experience the art of metal detecting, including the hire of the detectors, you never know what you might find buried just below the surface, working in pairs to learn how to search, expose, care for and clean the treasure. | ||||||||||
